DistilCore is a digital menu-display application operated by 797 Distillery ("we," "us," "our"). It shows rotating menu boards on a television screen for bars, taprooms, and food trucks. This policy explains what information the app handles and how we treat it.
DistilCore has two parts: a display that runs on a television and shows a menu, and an administration area used by the business operator to create and update that menu. The television display is a public-facing screen; it does not collect any information from the people who view it.
Operator account information. To manage a menu, an operator signs in with an email address and password. We use this only to authenticate the operator and to associate their account with their own menu content.
Menu content. Operators provide the content they choose to display — item names, prices, descriptions, and images. This content is intended for public display on the operator's own screen.
Technical and log data. Like most connected software, the app and its hosting infrastructure may automatically process limited technical data — such as an IP address, device or browser type, and timestamps — for the purposes of delivering content, maintaining security, and diagnosing problems.
The television display does not collect names, contact details, location, or any personal information from viewers, and it contains no advertising and no tracking of viewers.
We use the information above only to provide and operate the service: to sign operators in, to store and display the menus they create, and to keep the service secure and reliable. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not build viewer profiles.
We use Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage, hosting, and cloud functions) to run DistilCore. Data is processed and stored on Google's infrastructure on our behalf. Google's handling of that data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share information only with the service providers described above, to the extent needed to operate the service, and where required by law.
We keep operator account information and menu content for as long as an account is active. If an operator asks us to close their account, we delete the associated account information and menu content, except where we are required to retain it by law.
DistilCore is intended for use by businesses and adults (18 and over). It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Access to menu management requires a password, and data is transmitted over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the information we handle.
If you are an operator and would like to access, correct, or delete your account information or menu content, contact us using the details below and we will help.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
